The LINE Hotel

We styled some surrealistic and shiny distractions in the lobby of Los Angeles’ The LINE Hotel this holiday season. A snowfall of gold and copper leaf fell from our hotel workstation as we prepped for a luxe West Coast holiday décor. Naturally marbleized gourds were the living medium for silver and copper leaf. Metal was applied organically, each placement completely different than then next, accentuating the strange shapes and textures of these winter vegetables.

Gilded gourds were interspersed on the check-in counter and café tables, set with ceramic vessels and glass holders filled with chopsticks used for POT’s lobby café. Shadowy light filtering in from the large lobby windows was the perfect match for the subtle metallic elements on the gourds.
