San Francisco No.012

November 3, 2015

We didn’t have to cross the pond to get a taste of English cuisine – we just flew to San Francisco. In our fourth BreakfastClub installment with Noosa Yoghurt, Trends on Trends was treated to a delicious English-influenced breakfast by Carrie and Rupert Blease of the newly Michelin-starred Lord Stanley. Guests like Refinery 29 senior photo editor Erica Gannett, Apartment 34 founder Erin Hiemstra and William Werner, owner of Craftsman and Wolves, started the morning with Four Barrel Coffee and ate heaps of soft scrambled eggs with chives and trout roe as well as an English ‘kedgeree’ with curry and smoked halibut. If there was ever the most perfect breakfast “dessert,” it was the breathtakingly beautiful pomegranate Eton Mess with edible rose petals and black pepper.

The table was adorned with smooth and weathered tree stumps, which were whimsically dotted with purple wildflowers, offset by beautiful rust-stained Samantha Verrone linens, vintage silverware and marbleized Felt and Fat ceramic plates. Each guests took away a watercolor illustrated #DineAroundSF guide, sharing the top five breakfast bites to eat in San Francisco.
