Portland No.016

Trends on Trends curated an itinerary with Travel Portland for some of our favorite NYC creatives to come explore one of the Pacific Northwest’s top food and artisan destinations. After two days of tasting our way through lauded Portland restaurants such as Ava Gene’s, Pok Pok, and Kachka - while touring local makers like Stumptown, Salt & Straw, and Jacobsen Salt - we topped it off with the main event: a meaty #BreakfastClubPDX at Olympia Provisions.

NYC and local PDX creatives like Eytan Ari Zias  of Portland Knife House, Olympia Provision’s owners Eli and Michelle Cairo, and photographer Nicole Mason shared a feast of cured meats, savory white cheddar bread pudding, Sweetheart ham eggs benedict, kielbasa hash and mountains of orange butter hotcakes with pour over coffee served by Portland-born Stumptown Coffee Roasters.

Old school diner menu placemats and social media cards with various meats illustrated by Cat Baldwin playfully showed off watercolor mortadella, Sweetheart ham, kielbasa, salami cotto, and capicola. Each place was set with Olympia Provisions red-wrapped summer sausage and grid brushed napkins by Nell and Mary, flanked by brass planters filled with fiddlehead ferns. Guests departed with gift bags filled with OP pepperettes, Stumptown coffee, Bee Local honey and new friends on both coasts.
